Her experience in storytelling for business growth, event & partnership management, digital media strategy, and branding spans various industries including investment, media & public relations, fashion, architecture, NGO, education, banking and insurance.
 
At VFD Group, she managed the content and distribution team that sits at the intersection of Corporate Communications, PR & Marketing, Investor Relations, Sales, Product Management and Customer Experience. She worked closely with YBR – a marketing agency attached to VFDMFB and followed through with how cross-functional teams interpret the brand’s promise across multiple projects to impact sales and conversions. She also reviewed all sponsored editorial and content campaigns. 
 
Tobiloba implemented an innovative strategy to drive internal communications within the organization from a state of non-existent to recording over 60% response rate and improved employee engagement through various activities including an internal podcast series she started.
 
Prior to joining VFD, she was Communications Manager at House of Freedom, Team Lead, Public Relations at Redrick PR and Customer Service Specialist at Stanbic IBTC.

A Creative Storyteller

As part of her contribution to her company’s growth and presence, and her knack for telling unique stories, Tobiloba championed the brand storytelling project for VFD Group, engaging founding stakeholders in conversations and working alongside a renowned journalist to curate a piece for the brand with the goal to position it as a source of inspiration to young entrepreneurs. She created various newsletter pieces that stirred customers’ interest, leading to an 80% conversion rate and was on top twitter trends for a week.

Her processes involve engaging with the product, sales, and management teams to identify their objective, and working with them to create an all-inclusive marketing strategy that leaves no stone unturned. She improves lead generation tactics, selects the best-in-use out-of-home advertising channels, and optimises digital channels to improve SEO ratings while identifying experiential opportunities that could drive and improve sales.

She works closely with top newspaper editors and writers to spotlight successes, identifies platforms to amplify thought leadership, and leverages existing relationships for collaboration and partnerships.

A passionate volunteer, Tobs has spearheaded and coordinated multiple successful projects. She has also voluntarily managed digital events across United Arab Emirates, Ghana and major cities within Nigeria.

Championing a Cause

Tobiloba is passionate about seeing young professionals evolve and explore opportunities in their industry. She does this by creating a one-on-one session twice a month to mentor, encourage, and add value. In 2022, Tobiloba alongside Omotoyosi Ajayi hosted young PR & Comms professionals to a 2-day event focused on promoting Truth, Trust & Transparency in Public Relations with speakers like Funmilola, Onye Ubanatu, Sam Adeyemi, Adedoyin Jayesinmi and a host of others in attendance.
